I'd have friends with whom, in private, I would always speak Chinese because my Chinese was better than their English. But when we'd go out to a restaurant or any public place, those friends would switch to English right away, and I would hardly be able to understand anything. I think English is very much a status symbol for many people, which is kind of frustrating. I'm proud of my bilingualism as well, and I can't imagine sitting in a Russian cafe speaking English just for the hell of it. Anyways, your blog is great :-) keep it up! Illustrator is great for a lot of things (particulalry design things), way better than photoshop, vectors being way less set in stone than pixels.
